Joel - Four months old!

Update: You weighed 13 lbs. 8 ozs. at your well baby appointment May 28.

Joel, you were four months old yesterday and it seems hard to believe. You are a joy and make my life more complete. You are always so content and laid back. If you cry - which is rare - it's for a cause and I can quickly calm you down. You enjoy cuddle time and play so well on your own. You even seem to enjoy your big sister loving on you even though she gets right up in your face, is not very gentle and is quite loud. She certainly loves you and she is thrilled when you smile at her with your handsome smile. Speaking of your smile ... ahhhh! It lights up my heart! You share lots of smiles and they never get old. Your entire face lights up including your bright blue eyes and you get so excited from head to toe. You've delighted many strangers and people at church with that big ole' grin. You like to be upright so you can check out the world around you. You are more content with tummy time now and like to roll to your side, occasionally flipping over. When laying on your back, you like to lift your hips up and push your feet which allows you to scoot a few inches. I think you have great hand-eye coordination and can hold things in your hand and grab toys. Your face lights up when you see yourself in the mirror and you talk to yourself. You love bath time and make big splashes! You woke with your first tooth a week and a half ago, and the second one broke through the following morning at Grandpa and Grandma Johnson's house. You never made a fuss! You take two naps a day - a 1 to 1 1/2 hour morning nap and a 2 1/2 to 3 hour afternoon nap - and you sleep 12 hours a night. You gave me the best mother's day gift two weeks ago by sleeping through the night for the first time and you have continued every night since, even at Grandpa and Grandma's house.
You wear size 3-6 month clothes, but all your pants are too big at the waist and too long. You are in size 2 diapers.
