We bought the pattern and material for her dress first, ate lunch at Jason's Deli, and then went shoe shopping at the mall. My mom has graciously agreed to sew Madelyn's dress. She is an exceptional seamstress, and I know it will be a special memory for Madelyn to watch grandma magically turn material into a beautiful dress. Lord knows she's unlikely to ever see her mommy do that! I'm much too impatient.
While at the fabric store, Madelyn went off hunting for leaves for her flower girl dress. Then later on today she asked if she could wear a princess crown. Hmmm, hopefully when the big day comes a basket full of flower petals will suffice.
A big thank you to my sweet friend Katheryn and her 2 year old daughter who chased after Joel for eight and a half hours while we shopped. Quite a labor of love while about four weeks shy of her due date with baby #2. That is the longest I've ever been away from Joel and it was nice knowing he was in capable, loving hands.

How much fun!!
ReplyDeleteIt was our pleasure! Thank YOU for letting us! The only chasing was me chasing my wild-and-crazy Macy!
